Volunteering
Just by the simple fact that your child is, might be, or has been involved with the music department at LSRHS, you are a member of Friends of Music.
Like any other parent organization, Friends of Music is only as vibrant and effective as the parents who volunteer. Whatever your interest, however much time you have to give, we have a place that can use your particular skills, talents and enthusiasm.
All meetings are open to the public.
Opportunities to Volunteer
Open Committee Chairs - Board Positions
The Friends of Music board of directors oversees all volunteer activities, as well as the budget and other music department needs. The board is comprised of the chairpersons, treasurer, secretary, and our music directors, along with the committee chairs.
Concession Chair
Purchase and coordinate the sale of refreshments at performances and for Junior district auditions. Time commitment: several hours in the week leading up to a performance, time selling refreshments before each show and during intermission.
Fundraising Chair
Coordinate fundraising initiatives

Fundraising Project
Brain-storm, plan, and organize a fund-raising event for LSFOM. The event can be as simple as a raffle during one of the concert or as complicated as an auction! Time commitment: varies
Publicity
Help advertise LSRHS concert to increase the audience. Write articles for local newspapers.
Help at concession sales
Chaperoning at competitions/field trips
Baking and Donating Food item
Remember, your most important qualification is not necessarily your talent, but your willingness to help, show up and be involved in your child's activities.
